You can learn the way to deal with anxiety. For those of us who get with anxiety attacks, we distinguish what it feels like. Our heart pounds. We get butterflies in our stomach. We fear and fret over everything and anything. We've hot and cold sweats. Our throats go dry and we have trouble in swallowing, just to name a few.
These anxiety attacks can appear from no where. I've spoken with a lot of people who've said "my life is great; I don't understand why I'm unexpectedly suffering with anxiety attacks". This is the character of the beast. There's no chosen format for anxiety attacks. They can occur to people whose lives are going truly well, and those who lives are not going so well.
null It's not like having a cold or any other illness, where there signs are normal and easy to see and analyze.
Understanding what anxiety attacks are will help you to have more control and help you dealing with anxiety. It is normal to worry and feel tense or fearful when under burden or facing a taxing condition. Anxiety is the body's natural response to risk, an automatic alarm that rings when we feel threatened.
From my own understanding off living with anxiety attacks, I'm aware of the reality that the more you think about the anxiety the stronger the signs or symptoms become. The stronger the indications, the stronger the anxiety attacks become. Then you're in the realms of a viscous circle. This is when it becomes really hard to over come your anxiety attacks.
It's not till you truly become aware of the fact that your thoughts have shaped your anxiety, so it stands to reason that if you've manifested the anxiety attack then obviously you can create the anxiety attacks. This element is really tough for people to understand. And I know exactly how they think! When I was told this, I rejected it. Why would I want to do this to myself? It did not make sense.
But finally regardless of how much I tried to ignore that truth, it was accurate, my thoughts where the foundation of my anxiety. I experimented with it. The higher I focused my energy on the anxiety the stronger my anxiety attack became. So with the aid of a therapist, I was able to work on my thoughts and defeat my anxiety.
It would be a lie to say I'm anxiety free, but I'm much more able to cope with anxiety, I've more coping approaches. Coping with anxiety is now much easier for me.
Another to keep in mind, is that anxiety may be unpleasant, but it isn't always a difficult thing. This anxiety can assist up be alert, the adrenalin can keep us focused. When anxiety is relentless, when it interferes with relationships and activities-that is when you've crossed the line from standard anxiety into the territory of anxiety issues.
